Magazine interchange

Just bought a S&W 457 on Gun Broker and can't remember what other model mags fit this gun..ie. 4516-4566-4513-4506 etc. I need to get 2-3 more as it only has two with it. I like to have a minimum of 5 for any semi auto I own.

Congrats on your 457 !! Great little 45.

The 4516 and 4513TSW 7 round mags will work and fit flush in the 457. The longer 8 round mags for the 4566/4506 will function fine, but stick out of the bottom of the grip frame. You might try CDNN. IIRC they had some 7 round S&W 45 mags on sale recently.

I had a 457 when they first came out and made the mistake (sort of) in showing it to a good friend of mine. He loved it and offered to trade me straight across for his Springfield Armory 1911 National Match Hardball gun.

Well,that was a no-brainer and we are both still have the respective guns. His 457 is carried daily in his business and I shoot the 1911 in matches all the time and it is without question the most accurate 1911 I own!

This 457 was on GunBroker so I entered a bid that I was sure would be outbid on but got it for $255.02 plus $15.00 shipping. Can't beat that!
