I just brought my MP 15-22 home and was going over it. I find that I do not have the magazine assist button on the magazine. I did not find it in the box either. Is it suppose to come with it? Is it not there because it is a 10 round mag in California?

Buzz.

10 round mags for California do not have the load assist button.

I was thinking it had to do with the republic out here. Just thought I would ask.

Wonder what law they came up with for that.

A thin screwdriver or punch can be used as well with greater efficacy.

I have found that I have fewer feed issues if I ignore/don't use the assist button when loading mags. The rounds just seem to stack better loading like a regular ar mag.

+1 Just Say No To ALAB

Look at Brett's video (at to of forum) for loading the mag - works great with no assist button being necessary.
