Thinking about trading up. Have a SD9VE and plan on shopping for a M&P 9mm.

Does anyone know if I can change the base plates and use the SD mag in the M&P?

Be aware the M&P 9mm mags are nearly impossible to find right now. I just gambled and bought a ProMag after looking for about 3 months. I'm in CA that may make it harder ( 10 Rounds ) but just be sure if you want more than 2 you can find them.

All the reports I have heard on the promags so far has been good, including from someone who used them in competition last weekend. I am going to wait a little longer to hear more, but it is looking like they are a solid alternative.

Thos might be a silly question but has anyone tried glock mags?....would be nice to have a 33 or two for my sd9

Very rarely do I read anything good about Promag. I do not have personal experience with them, But I'm a firm believer of the old saying Where there's smoke...you know the rest. If anything, I sure wouldn't use them for SD, or HD, & not even for competitions. Range only. Here's a link to a thread that might interest you.
