Stolen by my new Savage 93R17 BTV .17hmr that is.

The Nikon was a Buskcmasters 3-9x40 at $229 and i felt it was a bit more scope than the 15-22 could take advantage of, But i loved its eye relief and reticle. Its amazing on the eyes.

Ive been wanting a 200 yard gun and the new Savage came with a basic Bushnell Sharpshooter 3-9x40 and i have my doubts that scope will do what i need on a .17hmr
Its a bottom of the line Bushnell and sells for about $40 online. Honestly it doesn't look all that bad for a free combo scope as ive seen worse.

So the Bushnell is now on the M&P but i feel like i let her down, But did i really? I think the 15-22 is only a 100 yard rifle at best with the .22lr caliber. Even with the smoken 1750fps 30gr Aguila's i have.

I know your gonna say just try it out first, And thats my plan. But i also want to think ahead as i have alot more gun accessories i need over the next few paydays and another Nikon isn't cheap.

So here's my questions, All referring too 100 yard useage.
If you have a magnified scope how much is did it cost new?
Also what scope and specs are you using?
What do you feel is the exact perfect price point for a scope on a 15-22?

On a side note, How is everyone liking those Center Point scopes that come loaded at Walmart for $54 for the AR22 version 3-9x32?

Arent you glad i don't need a red dot? lol

you will need a set of rings with that scope.. its set up for a 22 base.. the one up frme it $64 i have on my m4 and could not say enough good things about it

I have about 4 sets of rings, and Walmart has others i may need size wise $10-$20 also. Plus i have 2 risers if needed so im kinda set in being ready for any new scope that doesn't have rings or the wrong ones.Ive been reading great reports on those too Belt-fed, Thats why i mentioned it as a low cost options. Its made by Crossman the bb and pellet gun guys btw, But they can make a good scope tho.

Can you and anyone else who posts pls answer these questions, It will help me figure out where i want to be on this. I havent shot my 15-22 long distance yet so i don't know what i really do and dont need and want to see what others are doing.

im running a ncstar 3-9x42 mkIII R.A. tactical with built in laser... i think anything any bigger than that on these guns is a waist... they r not target rifles.. but fun little toys.. ive got a wallmart special on a m4 that i stapped on as a temp.. and it isnt coming off.. ive got a 3000 dollar set of optics on my target gun but it needs them:D or atleast thats what i told my wife lol

So by your standards this Bushnell should be just fine on the 15-22 :)
I can always upgrade to the Center Point 3-9x40 if i feel ducky one day, But for now im gonna see how the Bushnell works out.

My main reason for putting the Nikon on it in the first place was how easy the reticle and eye relief was like a Cadillac on my eyes.
But at this point i have more important accessories to buy so even if i do put something better on the 15-22 it will be a few months.

I can tell you im SOOOOO looking forward to try that Savage out, Ill still be stuck at 75' at the indoor range since the outdoor ones aren't open yet, But im gonna double check that.

Belt Fed. Do you have a pic of your M4 with scope? Please tell me how you mounted it because I think that's what I am going to put on my 15-22.
