I have some 30 round thermold magazines that do not have anti-tilt followers. Can Magpul anti-tilt followers be put into the thermolds to make them more reliable? :)

The Magpul follower will replace the standard follower just fine so if those mags have a standard follower then the answer is probably yes. A phone call to Magpul will verifiy it one way or the other for you though.

I thought the thermold magazines came with anti-tilt followers already?

I took one of these apart and the front of the follower has an extended leg, the back of the follower does not. I can take my finger and push the front of the follower down so it "tilts". Pushing down on the back of the follower does not cause the follower to tilt.

If I look at the Mapul follower, both legs are extended, on the Thermold, only the front leg is extended.

I swapped out three thermold followers for the magpul's after a little sanding. The difference is remarkable, much much smoother. It did cut the capacity down to 28 from 30 but I think the difference in reliability is wortht the trade off. Worthwhile change IMHO.

I noticed the capacity difference also but I never load my mags to full capacity anyway so I didnt think about it, but they sure do work better!! :) I did it to my 20's, I got rid of my 30's and I will bet they would have worked better with the different followers.

I did change out three thermold followers with the Magpul followers. When I run them through my sport, the bolt locks back on two of the magazines but on one, the bolt will not lock back now. With the thermold follower it locked back, the only thing changed was the magpul follower. Any ideas what could be going on?

Except for that they sure do feed better and smoother.
