What is your long term shooting plan? Are you going to invest in optics? I think your money would be better spent there. I've left my magpul on there, zero'd the irons and left them alone. I shoot with a scope and never thought of putting money into sights I'll probably never have to use.

I've run both the Magpul & Troy. The Magpul MBUS rear sight is decent for the price. Spring loaded and easy to deploy. Adjustment is decent.

The Troys are in a class of their own. Flick of the thumb to deploy, then it locks in place. The adjustment clicks are positive. I don't know how to explain it, but the aperture on the Troy is more "precise". I thought the Magpul MBUS was good until I bought a Troy.

If you're happy with your Magpul rear sight, then leave it be. Spend your money on a decent optic.

I went with the Troy tritium because I like to shoot irons and I'm saving for an expensive scope. IMO if you can afford Troys and a good optic BUY BOTH. If you ever are forced to use them you'll want the best aim possible. Zombies require headshots. lol

Troy vs Magpul.......You cant even compare those 2 because Troy is playing in a whole different league. Magpul is still playing in the little leagues, lol.

Zombies do require head shots. But ive learned the bigger diameter the bullet has, the less accurate the shooter needs to be. So much easier to head shot them with the 50cal. And if you get 2 of them the same height walking in a line. You can get 2 head shots with 1 bullet.

I prefer the metal apertures to the plastic ones, they dont seem as fuzzy around the edges but, if you plan on optics I would use the money for that I would spend on a Troy sight and put it toward the optics. You arent going to be precision shooting with the irons anyway.

LOL I said that tongue in cheek but yeah a 50 cal would easily do that and some.

Oneyeopn is exactly right. The Troy sight picture is much clearer....plus you have the dual aperture. Because I love to shoot irons I really like that feature.
