Is the aprox. $35 dollar difference in price worth it. Is the CTR buttstock worth it or will the MOE stock just as good?

I went with the CTR for the friction lock, because I don't like my rifle to rattle. If you don't mind the rattle that the stock stock (haha) has, then the MOE will be a good, economical choice for you. If it drives you nuts, spring for the CTR.

Agree with the above, CTR makes the rifle feel more solid. Worth the difference in price.

On my rifle the MOE stock doesn't wobble nearly as much as the typical m4 style stock does. Maybe I'm just cheap but the $45 MOE stock works just fine for me on my 15-22 and on my 516. Hopefully whatever rattle is there won't scare my paper targets away lol.

Spring for the CTR you wont regret it. I have the STR with the same lock, its great and as said above really makes the rifle feel extra solid.

Leaning toward the CTR OD but hard to find. Magpul is behind the curve in production right now.

Try Hamlund Tactical.Com they usually have them in stock,and prices are pretty good.Free shipping on orders over $150.00.They currently have the CTR OD in stock in milspec and commercial for 64.99 plus shipping.

CTR arrived yesterday. Excellent fit and finish. The OD green looks sharpe.
