Mags for M&P C.O.R.E.

I recently purchased a CORE pistol for an upcoming defensive handgun class at Front Sight. Added a $400 Leupold red dot for co-witnessed sighting as well as a Blade Tech holster/mag holder set. My problem is that Front Sight requires THREE mags and the gun comes with two. The problem is that no one has them. Anywhere. My dealer hasn't seen a spare since January and actually has three M&P's in his safe because he sold the mags based on the assumption of getting replacements "soon." Can anyone either explain the shortage or provide me with a source? I've got plane tickets, a car rental and accommodations on the line here.

I have not been able to find any since last Dec. at the LGS.

Last time I saw them locally was S&W's traveling M&P show at LGS's while back. Believe it was buy a M&P and they would throw in an extra mag. S&W rep had at least a case of them and same LGS had zero for sale of any size.

You didn't mention 9 or 40?? I was just on Midway and they had 40's and a few others. Just no 17rd 9's.

Check out Gun Broker. The prices can be high though. Depends how bad you need them.
