Mags keep dropping from weapon

Well, could be the mag catch, could be a faulty mag, or could be, as is frequently the case, operator error -- not ensuring that the mag is fully-seated by giving the bottom of the mag a healthy whack after seating it.

To adjust the mag catch, use a wooden dowel or some such object and push the mag release button in to where the mag catch completely sticks out the other side and rotate it clockwise one full turn and release mag button. Typically the threads are generally flush with the button face.

I've shot AR's for way more years than I care to remember and still occasionally have a mag drop free during a string of fire because I didn't seat it with a healthy whack. Luckily, all I ever lose are points.

You might grip your gun and see if part your hand is against the mag release. I have heard of that happening before. I saw Hickok45 had that problem with a gun he was shooting in his video.

Pretty much impossible with an AR. Get in the habit of "seat, slap, tug" and see if that won't cure the problem.
