Magtech ammo

Not sure what you are asking. I've only ever shot one box of Magtech ammo, and it was satisfactory. Lots of folks seem to have good luck with it.

Hi:
Purchased a 50rd. box of .38 spl. MagTech 158gr. LRN ammo today at my local Gun Shop.
Price $19.97. Never used this brand. What type is it?
Thanks,
Jimmy

It's a box of .38 Special using 158-grain Lead Round Nose bullets. A good target load, with good accuracy (if not terminal ballistics--it IS a round nose, after all) out to 50 yards. I've used it and liked it; if I can find any more boxes of it, I'll definitely buy some...

It's made in Brazil and it's plenty good. I like the brass for handloading - it seems to have deep primer pockets, thought it's a little stiff.

Only ever used it in 357, decent practice and plinking ammo. Burns a little dirty but no worse than the Winchester white box stuff.

Magtech is decent stuff. They carry FMJ loads in 38 and 357 which is somewhat difficult to find.

I have it in 38 Special and 38 Super and like it just fine for range use. I think it is generally very good ammo. The 38 Super will fit in your S&W and Colt .357's, and you can also shoot it that way, if you have any desire/need to do so.

I've used Magtech in .38 and .380 and never had any issues with it.

I've used plenty of MagTech 9mm ammo but very little in .38 Special. Like said above, it's good ammo and the brass is very good for reloading.

That's been my experience too. I use their .357 and .44 Mag SJSP frequently in my Marlin levergun's.

MagTech is Brazilian, I believe. Unsure if they have plants here in the US or not.
