Not sure where to post this.
I know we have a resident case expert somewhere out there but here goes.

I am trying to determine if this is an original case or restored because the color of the liner/flocking does not seem familiar to me.

Anyone have an idea or opinion /

All of my S&W presentation cases have blue formed inserts, though the blue is darker than this. The blue inserts do seem to wear through in areas like the muzzle and hammer. I have a few that are worn like that, but with the gun in the case you can't see the wear areas.

Your case is the final version of the various Mahogany Presentation cases included with the premium N-frame revolvers, or offered as an accessory from the factory. Original lining has always been a royal blue. Your green lining is not original.

Of the tools you displayed, all but the patch holder would have been included with the case. And you are missing the lid for the tool compartment, which often goes missing.

The resident expert on these cases is jcelect.

Thanks all, I thought that lining wasn't right. Just happens I have one of those little doors somewhere but I'll never be able to match that silly color nor would I.
Great info rbmac52
