Have any of you ordered ammo from GunBuddy and if so have you had any problems. Do you know of another site that might be cheaper? I am looking for 9mm and esp. .22LR.

9mm is getting easier to find, but 22 is still very hard to find at a reasonable price. 22LR is still going for around $.10 a round at the lowest price (Gunbroker), for what you should be able to get retail for under $.05 a round. Up until about two months ago, I was finding some bulk 22 ($.04 cents a round) at several Walmarts (SW Florida), but that has now disappeared. The Walmarts seem to get 9mm in a few times a week, but not in large quantities, only a case or two.

I've ordered several times from Freedom. They aren't the fastest shippers but the reloads I order have always worked perfectly.I've found when they offer sales they knock off a few bucks, but the free shipping is the best deal.

Yep, if you need it quick, forget it. It's not that they don't ship within a day or two, it's the fact that they are in Washington state, and us "east coast" guys have to wait about a week for delivery. Yes, the free shipping is the best time to buy. They tend to run the free shipping thing about once a month over a weekend. GREAT ammo for the price....I've never tried their reloads, only new. The new loads look incredible, and having shot about 1500 of their 9mm 124gr, I've never had a failure.

Funny thing, I get really fast shipping. Oops, I'm in the same state. (not really, they are actually in Idaho but the UPS shipping hub that services Lewiston is Spokane WA) Shipping time will vary because they use UPS ground on their free shipping and that will rarely go by air back east because of the weight, but it's only a 6 hour drive by truck to me.

Another good ammo search tool is ammoseek:

9mm luger ammo handgun

I like it because you can filter by a lot of different options. I'm able to usually find a deal where I can pay between .22 and .25 cents a round, which is pretty decent for retail 9mm.

Biggest thing to watch ordering online is shipping costs. For a case, I normally pay under $20. If a site is charging more, the ammo prices better be very cheap to make up for the high shipping.

Gunbuddy.com is more or less the same as slickguns.com. You're not actually buying from them but rather, the sites listed because they are basically just a search engine for ammo.
If you're just looking for 9mm target ammo, the cheapest I've come across today, is CCI Blazers from wideners.com Just a couple of weeks ago, I bought 200 rounds of Fiocchi FMJ 9mm from palmettostatearmory.com pretty cheap. If I remember correctly, it cost me $43.00 shipped.

I haven't tried their 9mm stuff yet but, their 22LR is the cleanest, most consistent shooting ammo I've ever used. I'm hoping the 9mm will perform just as well.

As for 22LR...........I've been finding it at local gun shops for about the same price it is online (been averaging $50.00 per 500 rd. brick), minus the shipping of course so it's cheaper in the long run. My most recent purchase was Armscor HV which s also very clean shooting ammo.

+1 to all of this!

Love Freedom Munitions overall.

I'm in Ohio and it normally takes a little over a week for me to get my order. I usually order before I run out so it's not an issue.

I also use their new ammo instead of the reloads. The price different is marginal so I prefer to go with new. So far I've gone through 2000 rounds of 9mm 115 grain with no issues at all! Have the same amount on hand waiting to be unboxed. Though I think next time I'm going with the 124 grain.

I also have some of their ammo with the XTP bullets on hand. They have also performed well - though it's hard to find anything online as to their specific brand's reliability as self defense ammo - but the price was right!

Since I just got a .45 caliber last weekend - I want to get some of that from them as well, but they seem to be out of stock on this most of the time. They have the reloads - so maybe I'll give those a try.

most of the 9mm (115 fmj) i've bought has been thru sites such as Gander Mt, Cabelas, and even PSA (all depending on sale price and ship costs of course). Normally the final cost has been in the .26-.28 range, i can deal with that for my range needs.
I've been lucky at times on the same sites with .22lr, it does pop up now and then just doesnt last long (though PSA no longer is low cost on most .22 these days). Note Academy now sells ammo online, they do limit the .22 but like other sites it can be batched with other items to hit a total that makes sense to ship.

I have a Glock 19 and have shot Freedom's remanufactured ammo exclusively through it with zero issues - about 1800 rounds. I've also run about 500 rounds through my Shield. True thing about the time it takes to get here. Even here in Central Illinois it takes 5 shipping days. Just have to learn to order early.

There really is no such thing as mail order ammo, the USPS will not ship ammo.

To quote a phrase my wife uses frequently: "Did you know what I meant? OK then."

Then how is it shipped?

OP if you're in the market for 9mm ammo, PSA now has free ship over $100 and a couple good 115gn fmj options that would run about .24 per round (+ any tax) if you order over the free ship level.

Ammunition, Magazines, Rifle Parts, Bulk Ammo and Rifle Accessories - Palmetto State Armory

I've been waiting for this. I just ordered Blazer Brass 9mm at $11.99 and Fiocchi .45 at $17.99. People complain about their shipping time, but I've ordered 3 times from them and it hasn't been bad. Last one was 6 days from order to delivery.
