Makarov pistols!

I have two, both East German, bought for very good prices back in 2001 or so. Both were made in 1961. They shoot very well and are just beautifully crafted pistols. A little too snappy for my wife although she still thinks one of them is hers.

I had this for a while.

It's interesting that standard Mak magazines can fit and function in the hi-cap versions, albeit with a bit of wiggling at the base. Nice to know in an emergency.

A couple of years ago on another forum, somebody made mention that the Soviets at one time sent machinery to Cuba and they were making their own. That claim is unsubstantiated as far as I know, does anyone have more info?

Na, that's not it. Somebody posted on the Lounge last year and now I can't find it. I'll keep looking.

I also saw a video where a soldier (maybe the same guy) was going through all kinds of motions drawing and dry-firing his Mak. It looked kind of like dancing.
