Making front sight more visible on a 17-1

I have a 17-1 with a black front sight. Is there anything I can do to make it more visible ? Is there anything out there that would illuminate the front sight? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I use white or red nail polish.Some use the original white out paper correction fluid and there is a specific glo paint sold on the internet for sights.I don't know how good it works though.

Testor's Model Paint. IMHO better than nail polish as far as longevity. Use 3 thin coats rather than one thick.

*Clean front sight with Alcohol
*apply thin coat with a wooden toothpick
*let dry for 24 hours
*repeat 2 more times
*trim off any excess from sides of sight
