A 26 year old felon (2) was caught trying to board an aircraft in Kansas City with a firearm in carry on bag. The firearm was a Glock loaded with 23 rounds, he had $4,906 in his pockets and $26,515 in the bag. He stated that the bag was a friend of his and he didn't know what was in it.

I think what we have here is known as a THREE TIME LOSER.

how do you get 23 rounds in a glock?

On a similar note, the 67th person attempting to pass through security with a firearm in carry-on baggage at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport for the year 2011 was arraigned in a Clayton County courtroom last week. Only a day and a half left but maybe we can go for 70.

Machz1,

There are 32 round Glock mags, remember the guy that shot the Congresswoman was using one.

The other day a client of mine, an older lady, was digging around in her billfold. She said "Oh, maybe that's why the metal detector at the airport went off". She held up a loaded .380 ACP FMJ cartridge.:D
She had flown out of an Eastern Iowa airport, to Minneapolis and then to San Francisco. Then flown back a few days later. What would they have done if they would have found that on her?

Been a LONG time since I've flown.
Doesn't the ticket agent ask if you've packed your own bag anymore?

*No sir - I have no idea what's in here*
*OK - Have a nice flight - Next*

Really??

Boolit in your possession

What would they have done if they would have found that on her?

From personal experience at the Bloomington Il airport and one grungy 22LR cartridge...
All of a sudden there are more cops and suits than you can shake a proverbial stick at. I was immediately questioned by a Bloomington PO if I had a Il FOID card. (No gun registration in Il, just gun owners) I did, so he could not charge me with unlawful possession of ammunition. Talked to the TSA guy next and I told him that that bullet had probably been there for years and no one had noticed it before now. He then informed that "That was before TSA was on the job" Yea BS^2. I think it had been there at least three years amd on numerous flights.

The FBI guy was the nicest of the lot and said they were going to take my bullet away from me and that would be the end of the matter. Somehow I think my name is on a list somewhere

Amazing how many people came out of the woodwork for that minor instance... I guess it justifies their existence. No SWAT forces were seen..

I'll bet he was taking the money to his poor sick grandmother to help pay her rent!!

That's right. Jr. was bringing me the money for me to pay my rent. I'm just a little old lady with no money to pay my rent or even to buy my seegars and chewing tobaccy. Now I don't know what I will do.

Poor Jr., his mom died when he was little and Jr. was born brain dead hisself...

For a single cartridge, TSA would have called the local LEOs, who then, depending upon local laws, would have taken possession of it, ran an NCIC check on her, and then let her board her flight. It's highly unlikely she would have been arrested, or otherwise charged.
