Manufacture date for this serial # (model 10-5)

I'm very new to this forum. I've always liked S&W. I'm starting to collect various models.

Can anyone identify the manufacture year for this Model 10-5? The serial number is D356212.

Book says 1971-1972. To get closer you would need a factory letter.
