Mark Kresser of Taurus Relieved of Duty

Mark was the driving force in improving Taurus' image in the US. I would say that he has ended up carrying the can for the product still being iffy, despite his good words. Also, I suspect the news owners want "their man" in place in the US market.

they just further down the bowl than they were.

I believe that the problem Mr. Kresser had at Taurus, was he wanted to make and sell a decent product at a price most could afford. I don't believe that Taurus is overly worried about the quality of the product they sell. They are only worried about the sales.

I agree...Taurus makes some innovative products, but without effective QC and good customer service, they aren't worth buying. That's a shame, because they do make a couple of guns that would be worth owning...I've heard good things about the PT92 from everyone who owns one, and the new PT111 Millennium G2 is getting rave reviews from owners. However, with the abysmal overall CS support from Taurus, I won't take a chance on owning one (or another one...in years past, I've owned several) because no matter how good a model is, an individual gun of that model can have a problem. When I have a problem, I want a company that will support me, and fix the problem fast and free. Taurus, unfortunately, meets none of those criteria.
