Hello all, I have a real nice set of these that came on a 28 nd that I bought awhile back. I’d like to get some period correct magnas for the 28. Question is, what model should I be looking at that these K would belong on. Thanks.

K frame stocks won't fit a Model 28. A Model 28 Highway Patrolman is an N frame. Post a pic of the inside of one of the stocks, and several of us can tell you if you have K or N.

After that, the period correct magnas depends on the period of the Model 28. It could be one of at least 3.

Non relieved diamond targets were offered on both K and N target models.

As requested I attached a couple pictures. Also S.N. is S213775. Thanks

The stocks I see in post #3 are K frame stocks mounted on an N frame revolver.

What could they fit? I am not a K frame collector but think they would go on most of the adjustable sighted K frames of the correct era. Someone else can fill in the blanks in my description.

Your K targets will fit on any K square butt K frame,
If you're asking what would they be appropriate to put on to be period correct consider the following,
1) they appear around 1950 about the same time as the wide target hammer.
2) they are called "Target" stocks
3) the football relief arrives around 1956 with the arrival of the Combat Magnum and my guess is they anticipated more clearance was needed to clear the longer .357 cases.
4) they were available on special order instead of the Magna stocks or you could buy them seperate after the fact.

This basicly would suggest they would look right and be period correct on a K target sight gun made between 1950 and 1955.
Many people added them after the fact.

FYI:
I just tried one of my sets of non relieved K targets on one of my Hwy Patrolmans. They won't quite fit at the bottom without requiring modification. Quite a bit of grip frame overhangs the grips along the back edge. Judging from the length of the 'shelves' on the back of your grips (the flat area on either side of the rear washer), I'm pretty sure you have N frames that have been modified. The magna 'ears' have been sanded or broken, making them look like the approximate fit of K grips on an N frame.
