Market Research: Who's interested in custom grips for 22A & 422/622/2206/2213/2214?

Yes to Custom Grips

First, to answer ShoeShooter's question about the interchangeability between the M-422, M-622 & the M-2206, yes they are. I would also be interested in a set if the price is within affordable guidelines!

For lack of custom grips was the main reason I sold my 22-A and the fact a M41 came into my hands as well at the same time. I already had a 46 which I really like so I knew I would be very Happy with the stepup of course.

622 custom grips

Are you still thinking about making these?
I'd love either Black Pearl/Wooden/White Pearl/Bone, for mine..

I still would like to see some new design grips for my M41 or M46 as well.

A couple years since the last post. Anyone heard if the 422 series replacement grips ever happened? I'd like something in wood for a 2206.

If you expanded into doing some for the 22-a I would be interested. No grip options out there for it either.

Actually, there is one. Right now, I cannot tell you who makes them but if you surf the websites of custom grip makers, you'll find them. S&W used to have them on their website, too. They are the same laminated ones that came on the Talo edition 22A-1.

Altamont has grips for the 22a listed on their sight.

DrewW's post however was from 2010...

Still waiting... tick, tick, tick, tick, ..... I'd love to have a nice set for my 2214.

Make your own?

I might order a pair of the ugly green ones and use them as a template to make a pair from Corian.

To make a set you really need a set of solid grips to get all of the cut outs on the back. The molded grips are just hollowed out and you don't really get an indication of what it will take to relieve a solid material to clear all of the pieces and parts behind the grip.

I have a future project to make some router jigs to do the cuts, just have too many other things on my plate right now to get them done. I also keep my eyes open for a small duplicator that I could use to copy some of the existing grips I have. Most I see are way to big, and too expensive.
