Hello all:

I have recent purchase of a Model 360PD, Scandium/Titanium, 357 snubby. I bought the piece "for a song!" My problem is, it is about to kill me getting use to shooting it because of the inordinately hard trigger pull. I first bought a Ruger LCR 357 with its butter smooth trigger and I am constantly comparing the Smith to the Ruger. Please do no flame me for the comparison.

Now my question is this: Would it hurt the value of the little Smith to have a "trigger job" and "buff and fluff" done to it by a professional gunsmith?

Or, am I better off just learning to shoot it as is? :)

Any help needed and appreciated. ;)

Advise when possible.

It would not hurt the value at all (and since it's a "shooter" you might even help its value as a shooter). Some of my best guns were used cop trade-ins which evidently were "tuned" by cop armorers. The ones I bought new I lightly polished contact points, while keeping the original springs. Even just dry-firing (I use snap caps) helps smooth up the actions.

All you need to do is by an Apex Kit and install it yourself. Here is the link to purchase. It is $25, and they have videos to show you how. Taks 10 minutes, and reduces the pull by 4 lbs. It is the way it should have come from the factory. This is the kit most gunsmiths would put in your gun and charge you $100+ to do it.

I have installed the Apex kit in all 7 of my J Frames, and many of my friends' J Frames as well. Many members on the forum have do the same.
