Your are right....

In "Ed Wood" ("Plan 9 from Outer Space"), he did Lugosi better than Lugosi. For years Howard Stern used to use his speech from "Ed Wood" in the opening clips for his radio show.

I'm surprised I didn't mention that. That was a GREAT scene. And if I were on the street, I would have applauded, too.

"Home........I have no home."

Exactly my thoughts when I saw "Ed Wood." If Lugosi
had been alive, he would have been envious.

First season of "The Twilight Zone" he played a sadistic gunslinger in the episode "Mr. Denton on Doomsday." Powerful portrayal. So young then, carried the accent of the times perfectly. As a side note, Doug McClure was also in that episode.

I'll remember him for Mission Impossible.

I saw him recently in an old Western TV series. I don't recall which one.

Parts I liked him in BEFORE....

...Mission Impossible. He played a degenerated human being on The Outer Limits who wanted to show what earth would be like if civilization continued it's course. A lesson in how to make a low budget science fiction TV show have REAL CLASS. He also played in 'The Belero Shield' epdisode, which didn't tax his acting ability, but made the episode another classic.

He also showed up on the staples of TV "The Lawman", "Bonanza", "The Rifleman", "Tales of Well' Fargo", 'The Untouchables".

Movies like 'North By Northwest' and 'Pork Chop Hill' and as Caiaphas in "The Greatest Story Even Told".

Any part he had, he added that 'Martin Landau Touch' the showed that there were some excellent actors on TV.

Leonard in North By Northwest. He chose to play the character as a closeted gay man without telling anyone. He ad libbed the line about his "women's intuition" and nobody really caught it. I'll miss him.
