I've asked this question on other forums and have never received any helpful answers, so maybe someone here can supply accurate information. I have owned this holster for around five years, and it seems as though it was made for the C96 Mauser broomhandle pistol. However it has no markings of any type which would be a clue to its origin. Lacking markings, it is doubtful it saw any military use. Could be police or civilian. It is well made, in very good condition, and obviously has some age on it, and is not some eBay replica. I'm hoping there is a holster expert here who knows what it is.
