I now own a M&P 22 which I adapted my suppressor to.

But in my 'travels' this weekend I came upon a model 2213 with a strange
appendage protruding from its muzzle. .

I remove the thread protector and my internal mechanic spies a 1/2" X 28 thread.
I bought the gun. Took it home and bingo! Here it is. Just pictures
the range video will come on Wednesday.

Someone did some very good work. The barrel is threaded and this
solid stainless adapter was installed.

Come on, that's too cute!

Old News.... The 2213/2214 have long been favored for can applications for some time. The low barrel and tall slide make it easy to use the sights and the factory bushing nut and threaded barrel make this application a snap.

How well does a suppressor work on a small blow-back operated pistol? I remember way back seeing a Ruger 10/22 with a suppressor where the muzzle noise was cut down to nil, but a lot of noise came out of the breech of the rifle.

The toughest part about owning a 2213/2214 is finding a decent non-nylon holster!

These are nifty little guns either with or without a can.

Buy mags while you can...

With a rubber buffer, the 10/22 action noise can be made pretty quiet.

I love the 2214 and 2213 as they make for easy silencer hosts. The barrels are already threaded and one only need to buy a $25 adapter to thread the silencer on. Magazines are $25 new from s&w. They reliably feed all the bulk ammunition I have tried. The only problem is that prices on them keep going up. I have made a few videos with handguns as the subjects.

For the reasons already stated above, the S&W 22's make OUTSTANDING little suppressed plinkers! I've got a 622 and a 422, both with the threaded barrel adaptors for my can. I'd like one of the little 2213/2214s one day to add to the selection.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've been keeping my eyes open for a 22xx for a project like this.

Does this mod work on a 422 as well? I know where there is one...

I am no expert but think you will find that the Models 2206, 422 and 622 are essecentually the same pistol but made from different materials. The M-2206 is all stainless, the 622 is an alloy frame with a stainless slide and the M-422 is a blued steel slide with an alloy frame. The 2213 & 2214 are smaller versions as far as magazine capacity is concerned.

No they do not. The 2213/14 does use the same adapter that the 422/622/2206 does. My 2213 has been suppressed for several years now. Very quiet, and accurate.
