Need lots more info before giving an answer. Barrel length , blued or nickel, P & R or not, stocks, etc.

It sounds high even if it is in good shape for a 80 to 90% gun.

The dealer I bought my 696 from has a 19-5 in stock for $429+tax. Considering I bought the 696 for 425+tax I think the 19's price is high.

I just bought a 19-3 at my most visited gun shop. It has a TT & TH. It is a 6" and has been reworked and reblued. New Target grips. It came out of an estate and was built for the late gentleman and was his personal gun. It is as smooth as any Python that has ever slithered down a tree. The SA pull is awesome. I know Pythons and have owned them. The blue is almost perfect but not by S&W. $399.00 is what I gave. Again the action both DA and SA is so sweet I would not trade it for a 99% one. I just run through Gun Breaker. Any 19 started over $400.00 does not get bid on. There are a couple that have worked up to $300.00. $350.00 seems right for this gun if the condition is right. Have you done the S&W checks? Look at the front of the Crane to frame seal? any gap? Open the cylinder, how much play is there front to back? Is it solid or does it wiggle? Using your left thumb to slow the hammer how is the DA pull? Cock it SA push the hammer hard. Does it stay cocked or does the hammer drop? Use your left thumb, how is the SA pull? What condition are the screws in? Clean and does not look like the gun has been opened or buggered and who knows what went on in there? What kind of grips? My last thought is, it is in a flea market, how did it get there? Have any friends who can check the serial number? If I wanted it I would take $350.00 and lay it on the table. Print out a page of them from GB, your bargaining point here is these guns are moved through licensed dealers. If my gut said walk at any point I would hand it over and leave. You can find one at that price on a regular basis. I hope you find the right one for you.
