I am on the fence about picking up this Md 19. No box or papers, just the gun. I have not seen it in person but am told it is very clean. He is FIRM on $525. Deal,no-deal or run away?

I had been looking for such a gun for a few years and found that the average price I found that at was 525 or 550,, I think that it is what you are going to find, If you do buy it you arent a fool, I am sure that others will pay more than the 525.
You will be really lucky to find one cheaper in the same condition, They dont make them any more and there are a lot more collectors out there!
+ the 19-4 is the last of the P&R 19s.
I saw this one in a case at my local pushers two weeks ago for $400, I said I"ll take it before it was out of the case!

Get it you will be happy! And in two years it will be worth over $600!

Yes thats more than fair. And it looks like you have winner and a early one.

I passed on it earlier this evening. The right side did not look as nice as the left and the right grip panel was in poor condition. It had a bit of end shake and rotationa movement too. It sure looked nice in the picture.

one of the few I paid more than I normaly(cheap SOB) would for, $512 shipped this year, sight unseen(friend found it) abosulty worth every bit, mine had been tuned I am sure and is the best shooting of any of my 19/66
's and the nickle with stags......pimpolishish

I had a 19-5 nickel I paid 450 for 4 years ago and thought it was too much. That one is P&R and looks clean. $525 aint bad if its what you want. Nickel 19 snubbies are hard to beat good lookin wise. If that were what I was after I would pay it...doubt your gonna find one cheaper.

YMMV

I would pass...but that's just me.

In nickel the gun would have to be 99% before I'll jump

I think that is fair market value...not a bargain, but a good if you have been looking for one.

A couple years ago I saw one for $400, thought the seller was on crack... shoulda bought it in hindsight. But back then, I didn't have as much interest in short bbl guns.

For $500-600 it has to be lightly used and tight with %95 + finish. They don,t make them anymore and SW,s are getting very collectable.
