An Act To Modernize Gun Laws

Bill HD.4420

Will retroactively make now legal semi auto rifles illegal, make most public and private property "sensitive places," require magazines to have serial numbers...

Being fast tracked through the legislature.

God bless the states that are not seeking to destroy our Constitutional rights in the name of a partisan social/political agenda. Happily, 6 beats 3 on the SC. No court in MA can do anything except say "Yeah Sir Mister Boss Man!" to whatever the SC says. In this case, 6 will get you that 3 are going to go down in flames. Smoke will mark the spot at the little courthouse in MA. Cool. Sincerely. bruce.

I see this madness happening in other states and I'm kind of liking living in Mississippi right about now. :)

Most of my wife’s family has lived around Iuka ( NE Mississippi ) since before the Civil War.
Have been there several times.
Would rather be a few miles north in middle TN. The long dreadfully humid summers, fire ants, and a poor local economy are enough to keep me away from upper MS.
It gets hot here in SW Missouri, but the economy is much better, summers a little shorter, AND NO FIRE ANTS.

Hey Gary I have a question for you. Maybe you know?

I noticed that there is a term “Bona Fide Collectors of Firearms” in the bill. Does MA issue a State license if the colonel decides to? If so does that supersede an ATF FFL03? What about legal NFA Stamped weapons that are previously, (legally,) owned.

I guess that was two questions. Good luck to you.

Jim

These laws are being passed because previously, only the well connected could get a carry permit. Since the plebian majority couldn't a carry permit, the need for gun free zones wasn't a requirement. Now due to the Bruen decision, the authoritarian scum in office will happily issue everyone a permit, they'll just make it to where no one can carry with it.

I think if people here were told they could get rid of fire ants with a little plutonium, they would probably go to Walmart and try to buy some. Nothing kills them; they just move on somewhere else. LOL

And Lord help you if you ever have to shoot somebody.
Or even “ brandish “ a gun.

Bankruptcy is all but certain.

With any luck we will be celebrating the new year in our new home in the south.

We hope to see you down here. I live in East Tn and Hope you’re considering this area. Tn is a great state and the eastern part is the paradise.

I know of no state issued collector license. MA often makes up non existent terms. For example in one case in federal court the lawyer for the state said that instead of a License To Carry (LTC) the plaintiff could obtain a "Permit to Purchase" which allow him to buy a gun and bring it home.

There is no such thing in MA law, and LTC is required for mere possession inside your house.

The judge bought it over the objection of the plaintiff. This was pre Bruen and I believe that the case has been refilled.

When passed in whatever form the law will be full contradictions that expose every lawful gun owner subject to prosecution and confiscation.

Unfortunately, they can do a lot of damage while this makes its way to the Federal courts. The first circuit is the most liberal in the country now after president Trump was able to appoint conservative judges to the 9th.

This is a page out of NY’s playbook. It will be challenged and it will be defeated. Making current guns illegal to own equals confiscation. SCOTUS won’t allow it. These blue states throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and hope some of it sticks.
