The doc called it a over active bladder. He said the radiation for prostate cancer caused it. Then he said I got you five more years of life. It’s going on six years since it’s in remission. The doctor talks in riddles.

But what do I do with a over active bladder? I’m like my old 80’s v8 cj7 jeep it couldn’t pass a gas station, I can’t pass a bathroom. Lol

I understand what you are talking about. My doctor has tried everything. And none of it works, he is suggesting Botox injections every 2 months to relax the bladder. I have been on 2 or 3 meds for my prostate, the last check up the digital exam the doc said he thinks my prostate was the size of a pea. Being a Vietnam vet the idea was to shrink it the reduce the risk of cancer. But having to pee every time I stand up is fun.

Sometimes I get the feeling this problem isn't given much consideration by the medical field (research) because it affects mainly older men who probably aren't very active anymore, and is more of a nuisance than a disease. I take Cardura (I'm 70) which works for me, but I must say the 15 pounds I lost last year made a big difference. So if you can, try taking a little load off, maybe your meds might be more effective.

I just regard it as part of my exercise routine.

I like that...exercise! I'm 74 so I'm going to go with this as an exercise program.

I'm right here with you guys. I had robotic surgery 9 years ago and had the prostate removed.

Three or maybe four years ago PSA started rising again and I had 37 radiation treatments. PSA is now 8x higher than after radiation.

I need to exercise again right now...maybe I will make it in time!
