Just did a quick Google...

Hospital insurance (Part A) that helps pay for inpatient care in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (following a hospital stay), some home health care and hospice care.

Medical insurance (Part B) that helps pay for doctors' services and many other medical services and supplies that are not covered by hospital insurance.

Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are available in many areas. People with Medicare Parts A and B can choose to receive all of their health care services through one of these provider organizations under Part C.

Prescription drug coverage (Part D) that helps pay for medications doctors prescribe for treatment.

Sounds like it's simply A & B rolled up and sourced from one provider.

Hope this helps.

Yeah and part D is a joke, if you take over three meds. that are not generic you're in the donut hole in less that six months and left with a choice to pay full price (assuming you can afford it) or doing without.!!!!

Be very cautious about considering Medicare Part "C", which is a "Medicare Advantage" plan. They are pushed heavily by Humanna. Hospital and physicians do not have to accept these plans, and many do not. Also, if you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you are not allowed to purchase a Medicare Supplement to cover all the deductibles and co-insurance amounts. If you look at all the expenses you are subject to you won't take a chance on a Medicare Advantage plan.

Having been a Patient Accounting Director in a 325 bed Hospital for 35 years, I wouldn't touch one with a with a long barreled Mosberg.
