Medusa Model 47 Revolver

Heard of it, have never seen one personally, occasionally come up for sale online and fairly expensive when they do (high three to low four figures). Some cartridges work better than others by report. Someone here probably has one and can give a full report...

This came up a few months ago. Here's my post from that thread:

I have one, and have owned a total of 3. My experience is similar to cardcatalog's - it's a neat idea but it's not enjoyable at the range due to reliability issues. I don't shoot it a ton simply because going through 50 rounds takes forever after clearing stoppages, extracting cases, etc. I suppose it would serve well as a post-apocalyptic revolver to shoot whatever cartridges you could find at a ransacked Walmart, but otherwise, it's just a novelty piece IMO.

I can recall having a desire for the 686 conversion cylinder.

Last I heard, Ruger bought the patents, whether or not they're using any of that IP I don't know. Their convertible models obviously solve the multi-caliber problem with replacement cylinders.

I would love to run across one of those 6" guns like pictured above --- for less than $1500. Probably never happen...
