Spent 50 years in that profession. Once in Tok, Alaska I broke down at 45 below and heavy winds. The only other time I was that cold was on an oil rig in the pan handle of Texas during an ice storm. If I had a paycheck I would have burned it for heat.

When I lived in Alaska, the jingle was "If you can't take a joke don't move to Tok"

Regarding Rudi’s offering:

Fits me. Problem is my dog is a Golden Retriever mix at 15.5 years old and pretty much on her last legs. Had her since she was 10 weeks old. Gonna be heart breaking for my wife & myself.
