Well i've had a pretty good year if i do say so myself, so i felt a reward of some type was necessary to incentivize me to be just as awesome next year.

Behold, the Cimarron Model P 1873 in .45 Colt with .45 ACP extra cylinder!

Bought it expressly for sending .45 acp hardball downrange.

I didnt realize when i bought it that there was such a furor over the newish floating firing pin design. If it works it seems like a good improvement. I had the earlier model with the 2 position base pin and i never used it. Apparently this new system has approached the Smith and Wesson key lock level of user hate.

I hope it does ok, this is a nicely made revolver. Looking forward to toting it on my canoe camping trips.

That's a beauty. Like the color in the case hardening.
You will like the .45acp cylinder a lot I think. I have a .45 Ruger Flattop with both cylinders and use the .45acp almost exclusively now. Very accurate chambering.

I bought a similar gun a little while ago. It is a new Model Blackhawk .45 Convertible. Had to take off the small factory grips. Only had it out once. Bob

Nice looking gun. I had seen and held Cimarron's but never shot one. As always, so many nice guns so little time and money. I hope you enjoy it and enjoy debunking the design change. I definitely like the look.

That's a good looking gun. I understand that the reddish color of the stocks is in the varnish like finish and not in the wood. So if you don't like the color, some paint stripper will reveal the true grain and color and then you can stain or finish them to your preference.
