Sorry you weren't pleased with your 2.0 metal. I had mine out for the first time yesterday and am quite pleased.
I have several M&P's and like some owners was not a big fan of the trigger. The original triggers aren't bad triggers but for my range guns I wanted better so I also installed Apex and like the results. I am happy to report that for me the new M&P trigger will not need to be upgraded as I found it to be just fine the way it is. It breaks clean with minimal overtravel at just over 4lbs. A bit more take up than the Apex but not an issue. Really impressed with it as a stock trigger. In terms of recoil I think it's a 9mm and feels similar to others with no real difference that I can tell.
As you can see I put a Delta Pro on before I shot it. BIG fan of the optics ready slide! Dialed in the dot and the gun shoots very well and groups tight.
Over all very happy. No complaints at all. Shot 80 rounds of 124g ball slow and fast. Performed perfectly. Love the look and the feel (I like M&P's to start with) and will be waiting for Smith to offer it in other configurations.
