It is carved, and it was made in Mexico.

I'm starting to like the Viking holsters. Thanks to Turnerriver (I believe it was him) posting the size chart one can peruse the auction sites and see what's available. Many sellers have no idea which gun they are for and just guess. I found this carved one a year or so ago for a reasonable price. It is marked 62 on the rear. The chart says no. 62 fits both a 4" Model 10 and a 4" Model 34 which seems odd as one of course is a K frame and the other a J frame but maybe the higher adjustable sights on the J frame take up any slack inside the holster. Regardless, it fits my Pre-34 and also my Model 63 just fine.
