There is a nice looking Combat Masterpiece for sale over in the Classifieds and I am a buyer if the year is the one I am looking for. I am stuck at work with no access to any of my resources so I am hoping by posting up the serial number here I can find the answer, what say you?

That serial number is literally only 100 above the first K frame manufactured in 1952. If the chart is accurate, the gun would have almost certainly shipped sometime in 1952, since that is the official date for S&W, not manufacturing date.

Of course, only a historical letter will nail it down to the month, day, year and where is was shipped to when it left the factory.
