Ever see "Office Space"? The whole Michael Bolton deal was hilarious.

Bob Slydell: I'll be honest with you, I love his music. I do. I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman".

Or...

Samir: No one in this country can ever pronounce my name right. It's...it's not that hard. Na-ghee-na-na-jar. Nagheenanajar.
Michael Bolton: Yeah, well, at least your name isn't Michael Bolton.
Samir: You know, there's nothing wrong with that name.
Michael Bolton: There was nothing wrong with it, until I was about twelve years old and that no-talent &$@ clown became famous and started winning Grammys.
Samir: Hmm...well, why don't you just uh...go by Mike instead of Michael?
Michael Bolton: No way! Why should I change? He's the one who sucks.

The commercials seem more screaming than singing.

No talent *** clown, indeed! He should be brought up on charges based on all those classic songs he murdered. Musical genocide! Mini-rant, over. Happy Holidays.

In one of those commercials, while MB is screeching, you see a couple sitting in a Honda with a glazed look on their faces. I guess we're supposed to believe they're enthralled by MB, but it looks to me like they're about to throw up....

....which is also how I feel about that time while fumbling for the mute button on the remote.

A lot of money is spent on research for these ads. They know what Honda owners like to listen to. :p

I'm a Honda owner and I know what I like to listen to- Michael Bolton ain't it!Sounds like someone grabbed his gonads with a pair vise grips.

Honda has succeeded in getting us to think about them, don't they say there's no such thing as bad publicity?

As a Honda owner, this topic offends me!

To think that people may think I would listen to Michael Bolton. :p :D

Wish I could sing like M.B., Then I could laugh all the way to the bank! While you guy's are complaining I could be putting together my grail list and be buying up all the Reg.mags. Ha, Ha.

Speaking of auto ads,I like the Mitsubishi commercial with Bobby Caldwell singing What You Won't Do For Love. As for Michael Bolton, he would also turn me against Hondas.

When I first saw the ad I figured Bolton must be moonlighting for extra cash or Honda's sales numbers to women are on the decline. That man's voice goes through me like a spear.

these commercials are not near as annoying as the K-Mart .gif-fing commercials...i'll take the MB spots over those any day...

They might just as well drag their fingernails across a black board - sounds the same to me. I didn't know it was a Honda ad - when it comes on and I see his mug I change the channel.

Who is Michael Bolton?

This is my take....I saw the commercial but had no idea who the(U know what) was doing the singing. I have developed an excellent ability to tune out all commercials. I miss a lot of the worst of America that way!!

I don't usually see commercials at all. The down side is I miss a lot of the good ones & have to look 'em up on YouTube. ;)

I really like all types of music.

For some reason I never did take to Michael Bolton, don't know why. But many other people like the guy.

I agree that the concept of "there's no such thing as bad publicity"
applies to the Honda commercials. I think it also applies to Dodge and Will Ferrell.

I never cared for Bolton's music but I'll cut him some slack. After all the guy has to eat too.
