This is an"I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours" thread!

A post on this forum some years ago got me to thinking about putting together a full sent of the mid-century N frames. I've posted a few of these before but thought it was time for the full set:

Great accumulation!

Ten guns in the "wheel" photo but 11 in the grouping photos.

Which one was added last?

The last gun is a Pre 19 that snuck into the Magnum group as an apprentice or 'wanna be' when it grows up. . (my attempt at humor). The 10 guns on the wheel are Pre 20 -29 running clockwise in order from 1 o'clock.

I like them every one! I have a pre 21 very close to yours (S142674) although mine is "enhanced" with a shiny nickel finish. I don't think the factory did it but will letter it one of these days to be sure. Have a Combat Magnum pretty close to yours too (K 262344). Will we see some of these at next year's Symposium?

Jeff, son and I will be flying in again so I'm planning on a "related pair" display which will be pre war N frames. The 2024 (Tulsa?) should be a drive in for us so can do a little larger... How about you?

Looking forward to your display, your's this year was great! I'll probably be driving next year but not direct so probably won't take too many. Thinking about displaying just two; a somewhat unique RM and an "almost was" NRM. I've shown both here but by next June most of us, me for sure, will have forgotten that. Already very much looking forward to next year's Symposium though.

Well, those should help keep that card game honest.:D Ante up!

Outstanding collection. I have no "Pre-" anything. My earliest is a 1967 M58.

Hearty thanks to the OP, Quinn, for this most excellent show 'n tell of mid-Century large frame Smith and Wessons. And similar thanks to those who have responded with more photos. I well recall, starting in ~1954, poring over the Gun Digest, the occasional Stoeger catalog, and dreaming of owning even one of such, especially a 44 special! That because of Uncle Elmer..

Thanks for the memories, thanks for the fine pictures and the detailed information. What a treat!

Let's see more twenty-somethings! Here's my pre 23 Outdoorsman in its preferred environment…

Randy,

Can you please post more pics of the magnas on this pre-23?

The figuring looks beautiful to my eye. ;)
Are these KB stocks, perchance?
