Mil Spec Magpul ACS will not work! HELP

I have a mil spec Magpul acs and have removed the old stock. I followed the instructions in the magpul box on how to install it. However it will not slide back on the tube. I thought the 15-22 buffer tube was mil spec. Suggestions?

Perhaps you need to adjust the pin that engages the detentes in the receiver extension?
