I have a Milt Sparks Versa max 2 for my 40C and have always loved it, I was in need of a holster for my new shield. First thought was a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2, but there was some great feedback about Lobo leathers IWB holster and they looked good so I ordered one. Ray sent me the amount due and my computer crashed so I lost his email with the info of how much and how to pay. I reached out to Ray who sent me the amount and how to pay. I made an honest mistake and sent him an amount 2 bucks short of what I owed. This was a mistake on my part and I do take full responsibility, here is the email I received from Ray.
Mark:

Your order was placed on 01-02-14. Acknowledgement and payment instructions were sent on 01-03-14. On 01-12-14 at you request payment instructions were repeated. On 01-12-14 at your request the order total was repeated. On 01-12-14 you entered a payment of less than the order total.

I have no more time for you. Your order has been cancelled and your PayPal payment has been refunded.

Best regards,

Ray
Moral of the story I ordered another Milt Sparks, friendly service from the people there.

I have the VM2, Exec Companion, and the good old SS2. I love them all, but for me the SS2 works as well as any, so I have several. For OWB I have a PMK and it's great for CC, and I can't remember the model name of my other one for the model 29. I've drank the Koolaid, another SS2 on order now. Milt Sparks has always given me too notch service.

Now my 40C and my Shield will have the same holsters and look like brothers. It would appear some things are just meant to be.

In Rays defense, He's got a pretty hefty workload and turnaround time is about 2 months at this point. If I had that much work to do, sitting on a computer going back and forth numerous times about payment discrepancies and order totals would not be something that I would be willing to do either. It seems like he gave you all of the information that you needed, but for some reason you needed it repeated and re-totaled several times? That would also be a no no for me. If I'm a professional and I know my products and what they cost, I do not want to be second guessed about order totals and have to repeat them if there is already an email with the total on it that the customer can reference. It seems like it all just piled up and at that point the back and forth was no longer worth it. All of the orders I've had with Ray were straight forward, to the point, and no hassle at all. Also keep in mind that everyone has a bad day.

Anyway, Milt Sparks look great and I've read nothing but good reviews. Hopefully that wait isn't too long.

I understand it is frustrating to be bothered when you are busy, however in business there is something call customer service. I lost his email then emailed him for the amount and how to pay, he responded with how to pay but did not give me the amount, so I had to email him again to get that info. Had he responded with both how to pay and how much, it would have only taken one email instead of two. I did in fact make the mistake of shorting him 2 bucks and yes that was 100% my fault. It would have taken Ray the same amount of time to let me know I shorted him and asked for the 2 bucks as it did to say he returned my money and had no more time for me. Some company's have great CS and others have none. The wait for the Milt Sparks is about the same and I also learned that Ray does not reinforce the opening of the holster, this was a concern for me as I don't want a holster to collapse when re holstering. As I mentioned things in life happen for a reason and now Ray and I are both happy, I am getting a Milt Sparks and he got rid of a pain in his rear. Win Win for us both.
Best of luck to Ray and his Business, however I will do business with a company that appreciates my business.

With the possibility of stepping into this minefield and blowing my feet off, and knowing that Ray at "Lobo Leather" does not need me to defend him....., I will say this: mistakes are made. Sometimes "off days" occur. This is the "season." What with the holidays, weather, travel, finances....you get it...

Unfortunately, both of you got caught up in the mis-communications of the email system with all of its difficulties. While $2 may seem trivial and it is in most circumstances this was the "straw" and of you lost something- Lobo Leather a sale and you faith in a businessman.

This is repairable. You have ordered a holster that you want. Ray continues on his numerous orders. In time, I hope that you can place another order with Lobo Leather for one of your holster/belt needs. I have a Lobo Leather flowered cut/stamped/carved ""Treepersons" holster for my K frames that is absolutely one of my "favoritist" holsters! Ray does wonderful work. My hope is that you both can let some time pass and let the emotions settle and calm and you can, and Ray, move ahead with no recriminations and hard feelings. The gun/shooting community is pretty close knit and certainly needs us all to hang together....

Stepping out of the minefield now with hope that no one takes offense that I stepped in with an opinion and post......
