Milwaukee German Fest

No gunshows this weekend, but I plan on taking the wife and girls to German fest this weekend in Milwaukee. It is down at the Summerfest grounds. I do plan on drinking some good German Beer and having some schnitizel. So if you are in the area stop on by I am sure you will have fun, I know I will. If I can get my wife to dress up like a St. Pauli girl my weekend will be complete. (as long as she doesn't smack me)

That's this weekend already??

I've been there twice and it is a great time.

This weekend we are having our own party here on the lake, one of my daughters is turning 16 and we are combining an 'addition finishing' party with her party.

The forecast for this Saturday is a high of 68 degrees!!!! A week ago it was 96.

Years ago there was an annual series of ethnic festivals on consecutive weekends at a belvedere overlooking the Ohio River here. Always great fun. I couldn't help noticing that the greatest amount of beer drinking seemed to be on the German and Irish weekends. I mean a lot of beer!

The food generally was best at the Greek and Mexican festivals, but the German stuff was usually excellent.

If only I had been a polka fan...
 
Went today saw the Wiener dogs had some beer and sausages and some schnitzel Had a really good time.

No smacks but she did drive home, we had a great time saw some nice Polka dancers spoke to the German/American Polizei glub watched the Weiner dog races and parade.
 
Looks like you had a good time. We usually get down there but missed it this year. We are hanging at the cottage this week while EAA takes over the city.
 
I know brewfest is sooon I will have to look it up plus the Rendevouz in Kenosha is coming too. My buddy took hi mom to the Tatse of Wisconsin yesterday in Kenosha he had fun there and EEA is open today saw some flying over.
