I need some hard cast .45 - 200 g swc and see Missouri Bullets has them. These are strictly a target load for one of my 1911,s anyone have any experience with there bullets?

I have used lots of these 200 gr bullets and am very satisfied with them. MBC is a very good co. to deal with. Fast delivery

I shoot them over 4.1 grains of Clays in every 45 I own, both shell shuckers and revolvers, and the performance has been great. Other than finding an occasional extra dab of lube or an occasional un-lubed bullet they have been very good. Accuracy is excellent and leading is non existent in any of my guns.

I have never used them, but I cannot call anyone saying a bad word about them. Try something like the Hensley and Gibbs #68, a 200 grain bullet. You want Bullseye 1 for target velocity or IDP 1 for major power factor.

I use their .452" 185-grain "Button" bullet in my 1911s and I have not been able to find a more accurate bullet regardless of the powder being used. Clays and AutoComp are the two most accurate powders for me with W231 close behind. I'm loading AutoComp these days because it meters more consistently through my Dillon 650's powder measure.

Now, you mentioned "hard cast for target" - read the informative piece on MBC's website about bullet hardness. A bullet that is very hard but shot at target velocities can actually cause more barrel leading than a softer one. I'll let you guys read the explanation for yourselves but it's why all of their bullets are hardness-matched to their intended use.

FWIW I've tried MBC in the past, then Rim Rock Bullets. Both companies have good prices and fast service but I found RRB packs their bullets much better and the quality seems a little better as well (I use RRB 148 gr DEWC).

I have bought MBC bullets for years, with few problems. I did have one problem, but a single e-mail took care of it (I didn't receive the quantity I ordered). Last time I ordered was this Spring, and deliveries then were very slow because they were swamped with orders. Maybe things have loosened up by now, as the operator said he was in the process of buying more equipment and hiring more employees.

Have used several thousand of their 200-grain, .452 LSWC with complete satisfaction.

They have shipped mine in USPO flat rate boxes that have taken a beating in shipping (split edges, etc.), but nothing lost.

Good company.

I forgot to say that the MBC 200 grain flat-nose .452 is my standard load in .45 ACP over 5.0 grains of Bullseye. Due to its slightly greater diameter, I load it only in R-P cases, as those have slightly thinner case walls. Other cases with heavier walls occasionally do not chamber completely. No problem as I have hundreds of R-P cases.

Like everyone else in the ammo industry, they were buried alive since the last election. I don't know their current delivery times. Product is very good, I might find 1-2 blems in a batch of 500.

I have placed three orders with them since spring and the first two arrived in less than a week. The third was placed last Friday (zero business days ago), so I haven't received a shipping notice yet but the "Read this first" message about slow delivery times in no longer on their website.

The ones the have are the H&G #68. Looks like a beveled base. I'm goings to try and replicate the Wilson load to shoot out of my Baer PII ,I have Bullseye and Uniue.

I ordered another 4K of the Cowboy #4 last Tuesday morning. Got a shipping notice Thursday morning and received 2K that afternoon! The other 2K arrived Saturday morning.

I ordered a couple K of both .38 and .44 a month or so back. Got them delivered in a little over a week. Haven't loaded any yet but the quality looks very good.

Used them exclusively until they got swamped on orders. Their policy of charging my CC and then taking 3 to 4 weeks to ship turned me off. I have purchased the same bullet from S&S Casting. They do not charge your CC until they ship & really do a great job of packing. Far superior to MBC's just dumping them in a cardboard box.
