has been legal since 2008. I didn't know that, I guess i need to get out more or something.
The ones I have been reading about shoot a.458 cal. bullet 425 grain traveling at 750 fps at the muzzle.
They are pneumatic guns that have to be pressurized from an external source that charges the precharged air reservoir on the gun.
Is this old news, and have any of you folks tried one? One guy has on that soots a .45 cal. ball weighing 143 grains, using the same pressure which is 4,500 psi in the reservoir.
They can also be charged up with a special hand pump. Just wondered if anyone on here has shot one. Sounds like fun to me.
Peace,
gordon:rolleyes:

Well, I did'nt know that either. A couple of weeks ago my son in law was telling me about an air "shotgun". Never seen one of those, either. I guess we do need to get out more.

Lewis and Clark took an air rifle on theri famous expedition in 1805. It had enough power to kill deer and included a pump.

Not exactly new.

Check out Quackenbushairguns.com they have used thiers for all sorts of hunting. They make several different calibers and styles.

This photo was posted on one of the airgun forums a couple of years ago. These guys tend to get a little excited when you refer to their "BB Guns!" ~GRIN~
