...at last!

After more than 22 months I got to see a Major League Baseball game in person!

Friend invited me to Orioles Park for a game v. the Yankees. Suite ticket! :D Complimentary food and beverages...yes, beer and liquor included. And just about every type of ballpark food imaginable.

Orioles staffer stopped by the suite pre-game and provided ‘ground rules.’ If in the outside seating area masks ON unless actively eating or drinking. (Drop mask for bite/sip; replace mask.)

If inside, NO masks required at all.

O’s won 4-2. Cedric Mullins with 2 bombs and a double. Matt Harvey and relievers impressive. Gave up just 4 hits.

One rather unusual play greatly benefited the O’s. Yankees had bases loaded and batter striped a liner to left field near the corner. One Yankee scored from third but LeMahieu who was on second failed to cross home plate before Aaron Judge was thrown out at third trying to advance from first. Very heads up play by O’s leftfielder.

Game was over in a tidy 2:41; 6367 fans in attendance.

Be safe.

The Big D had a great time and he enjoyed himself, I deleted two rude posts..... ENOUGH... If you can't say some thing nice about a members " happy " experience, well you know the rest...

I spent the weekend at the track and casino in a beautiful new hotel. Great dinner, racing, blackjack tables, etc. My only problem was all the blackjack dealers are always smarter and more skilled than me!

I am not ashamed to say I have learned two invaluable lessons from the past 18 months. I never realized the extent to which I read lips and I never realized how much I appreciate the human smile! I am going to make an effort to smile way more and frown way less from now on.

I am also never going to take for granted all the things we have in this great country.

My last MLB game (Tampa Bay) was a couple of years ago, but I try to make as many of the minor league games around me as possible. I actually prefer the minors. Now that the CDC has stated masks are not needed outside if vaccinated, I wonder how that will reflect on attending the games.

I’m glad you got to see a baseball game-especially with adult beverages.

I really love baseball. Seeing tons and tons of kid tournament ball right now, but home to take in a minor league game soon.
