The last couple of nights we had -18 and -19F. Uncharacteristically, my car would not start even with the aid of a jump box. My furnace couldn't keep up, and only got up to 60F no matter how high I set it. A couple of pipes on an outside wall froze. That hasn't happened in the 30 years I have lived in this 1858 house. The school district I drive for called for a two-hour late start today, then cancelled school for the day.
The cold is abating somewhat, but the widget on mu iPhone tells me we will have a high of -6F one day later this week.
We can't take any cold weather off your hands, we are full up.
