I have a chance to buy a Model 10 no dash 2 inch in about 98% condition. Wondering about what it should go for?

With an original 2" barrel and an honest 98% it would go for about $400 to $450 retail.

I think SP is a very skilled and savvy buyer, but tends to be low.
98% on a two inch could be a no brainer at $425.
I do not know how prices are in Mississipi though.
Good luck and happy hunting.

Looks like laytonj1 beat me to it while I was typing.;)

I would go a little higher than SP if it is truly a 98% gun, which to me is a turn line on the cylinder and no other wear; perhaps $375.

The turn line is so faint it almost isn't there. No box, papers or tools. Current owner thinks it was bought in 57 to 59. I don't know what he is going to ask for it, just wanted to be prepaired to jump on it if not to high.

Thanks all for the quick replies.

I would not pay $450 for a Model 10. I know that's what would be asked by sellers, but I would not pay it. Anyone who thinks that's a good deal is welcome to bag it, of course.

BTW- I am not the only cheapskate. A few months ago I offered a 2" M&P (early post-war gun) to a fellow at $325 (even came with the letter, a $50 value) and he couldn't turn it down fast enough.

To be fair, gun prices in general are through the roof. I joke to my wife that we are millionaires if I could bring myself to sell everything.
