Mod 10-5 3" value

Hi all, I just picked up a S&W Mod 10-5 with a 3" pinned bbl, finish is about 60%, but functioning is 100%, and lockup is tight. I paid $269 for this with the original slimline wood factory grips and I added a pair of Pachmayr presentation grips.

According to S&W, it's production date was 1973.

Anyone have an idea of it's actual value?

I'll be the first to admit, I'm a semi-auto type with 40 years on the 1911 platform and others, but very limited in the revolver scene.

I would say that is a good price. I don't know if the 3" barrel is hard to find in this model. If you go to one of the auction sites and search for that model and look at closed auctions, you can see what they are selling for. Did it come with box/papers?

I don't know, sounds a little much given your description, but don't know. I picked up a M10-6 2-in nickel I would rate at about 98% at a gun show awhile back for $300 without factory grips, which I have since rectified. Don't know about the 3 inch barrel either, but might make some difference. Remember, condition is everything.

Did you get it from Bud's in Lexington? It sounds like one of the Victoria police trade-ins. Or is this a troll?

a guy in central cal sold one that was an agency turn in for $350. we were too far apart to drive or i would have at that price
