Mod 10-7

Hi I am new to the forum. Was wondering when they discontinued the pinned barrel on the above. I have a Mod10-7 3 inch S/Butt Heavy Barrel. Sn D42779 this has a pinned Barrel. Also a 4 inch /7 Pencil Barrel, unpinned S/Butt Sn AFJ9424. This gun has the number engraved on the sideplate side with a larger stylised 1 above it. Help would be much appreciated. Regards Glen

The pinned barrel was dropped in 1982. Your D serial number came from 1968 (but the Model 10-7 didn't start until 1977) ?? and the AFJ serial number is from 1984.

Sorry Steve, post was late at night here, and I should have dug the Revolver out. The 3 incher is 8D42799. Regards Glen

Glen, an 8D serial number is from 1981. This was just before they stopped with the pinned barrel.
