Got a shot at buying a 10-8, pinned 4" heavy Bbl. Decent shape, certainly hasn't been a safe queen, probably 85-90%. Still locks up tight, would be a good shooter. Ser # 3D373xx

Born on date, value, any info would be appreciated.

A 10-8 with a pinned barrel would have been an early one built between 77 and 80. I can check on the actual serial number later

Value is relative mostly to condition. Most gun shops would probably put a $400 price tag on it. I would feel comfortable paying $300-350.

According to a conversation I had with Roy several years ago, all the 3D numbers were used in 1978. Of course, it could have shipped later. A letter would tell you for sure, but this one doesn't sound like it would justify $100 for a letter. At least you have a ballpark year to live with.

I have a Model 10-8 that does not have a pinned barrel. According to the serial number it was made in 1982.

Am looking for a 3” non pinned barrel for it, if one actually exist.
