Hello and Welcome to the Forum,
Your 16-4 is from 1989 and your 14-3 is from 1971. The 14-3 is an 8 3/8" vs the 8 1/4" as stated. I own one as well. Without pic's it's tough to grade and place and value on them. Have a look on gunbroker at completed listings, that should give you an idea of similar condition pieces and current values.

Thanks a lot for info. I have looked this week at getting a standard catalog of smith &wesson but just haven't put one on order. My father use to have a great deal of info for us but he passed about a year ago...I miss him greatly, but these were some in his collection. Thanks again!

The 16-4 has a pretty reasonable value if in good condition. The 14-3 somewhat less but both depend on condition. Posting a few clear pictures of each gun would help.

Thanks to all for info...you folks are really great. As for PM senders... Sorry but nothing for sale as of now. Just after info...
Again...thanks for info and welcomes !
Keep on shooting !

The 8 3/8" model 14s are bucking the current trend of more expensive shorter barreled revolvers, so I would put this one at $550-600. The 8 3/8" 16-4 is an unusual barrel length for this model, and I wouldn't be surprised if it brought $1000-1200.

Welcome to the forum, model 16-4's can be addicting!!
