mod 31

a friend has a mod 31 in 32sw long. he said his dad bought it before he was born. hes older than me and i was born in 1958, after the models were put in crane area. what date did this model first come out?dont have seriel number on hand.

Model numbers started in 1957 so if the gun is marked as a Model 31 it is 1957 or later.
