Mod 37-2

Can I convert my S&W Mod 37-2 38 Spec DAO to a single/double action. Gun came with a bobbed hammer and I would like to convert back to single/double action if cost feasible. I would have a gunsmith do the work. Thanks

It can be done but will probably need a new hammer and possibility a new trigger.

Thanks John. I haven't decided which way I am going aas of yet. I have just started using the gun even though I have had it for several years. Bought new in Bham, but just haven't had the need for it until a couple of weeks ago. Ran into a 4 foot timber rattler at what I would call too close. Shot him with a High Standard 22 derringer with CCI Snake shot, took 4 hits, Saw the the need for something better, so started using the 38. May try to switch from DAO, just have to have some trigger time to see if it is warranted.
